Colour Peom

Red

Red smells like the blood coloured petals on the largest of roses
Red tastes like the juicy apple fallen from the ripest of trees
Red  looks like the crisp autumn leaves fallen across the park.

Red sounds like rooster in the morning, waking you from your slumber

ANZAC Letter to a soldier on the front line

Wednesday 21st March 1917

Dearest Father

First thing I have to say is that I miss you. Mother misses you, Mary and Paul miss you, even Daisy the cow misses you. Life here at the farm is hard here without you. Paul has started helping me more with the farming, and now even little Mary has started helping mother around the house, even though she is only three. Its been two and a half years since you left, and every second of it is thinking about you. I can't sleep without knowing you’re alive. I hope someday soon, you will come back, safe and sound.

We all send our love,
Yours Sincerely,

Mark

Limericks

There once was a boy with a ball
Who bounced it around the town hall
He bounced it so high,
It touched the sky
And then for no apparent reason, he had a fall

There once was  a dolphin called Steve Would
Who always wore a hood
So one day as he walked
He found and he talked
to the whale whose name was Bob Could

There once was a boy named Daniel
Who everyone thought was a spaniel
So he ate some porridge
And called himself Horridge
And that was the life of Daniel

There once was a girl called Bob
Who everyone thought was a doorknob
So she went to the park
and built Noah's ark
and that was the story of Bob
